Here are the top features from this release.

Introducing Abuse Protection for enhanced security

Whistlelink has launched a new feature: Abuse Protection. By enabling CAPTCHA functionality on your reporting site, you can significantly reduce the risk of spam and abuse reports. This service is provided by Friendly Captcha, which employs a state-of-the-art approach to safeguard your reporting site from spam and malicious bots.

Our Abuse Protection service does not track your end users (reporting persons) and individuals are not required to take any action prior to submitting a report, streamlining the process for their convenience.

How to activate Abuse Protection

Activating Abuse Protection is a simple process. By default, CAPTCHA is disabled. To enable it on your reporting site, navigate to Whistleblowing Site – Settings – Site information and check the appropriate box. By doing so, you also give your consent for the introduction of Friendly Captcha as a new sub-processor responsible for processing visitors’ personal data, specifically their IP addresses.

Enhanced Data Confidentiality with the new Content Manager role

We understand the importance of safeguarding sensitive information while providing editing capabilities for your reporting site. As per your requests, we have developed a new user role called the Content Manager.

The Content Manager role allows individuals to edit and publish the reporting page, while ensuring that access to sensitive data, such as Cases and Statistics, remains restricted. This role has been specifically designed to meet the needs of clients who require limited access for content management purposes, while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that by default, the Content Manager can only edit and publish the reporting site. However, the Content Manager can still be assigned to cases if necessary, providing flexibility and efficient workflow management.

Content Manager Role

With these updates, we aim to provide a more robust platform that combines ease of use with advanced security measures.
More developments to come soon as we continue our efforts to deliver the best possible whistleblowing solutions.
